January's POV Gallery talk will be with Dr. Alexander Rich. Rich will discuss American Impressionism and our current exhibition, "American Impressionism: The Lure of the Artists’ Colony" from a historical perspective.
Dr. H. Alexander Rich is Assistant Professor of Art History and director of the Art History program at Florida Southern College. He is also director of the college's Melvin and Burks Art Galleries. Dr. Rich is a specialist in Modern and Contemporary Art History, with a particular focus on European and American art of the 19th and 20th centuries. He earned his Ph.D. in Art History from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, and his A.B. from Dartmouth College.
