Tours & Group Visits
The Ashley Gibson Barnett Museum of Art offers personalized private tours year-round for school and youth groups, college course visits, and adult, corporate, and community groups.
Self-Guided Tours
Groups are always invited to visit the Museum on their own anytime during Museum hours. Admission is free.
Please complete the form below to inform us of large self-guided tours (12+ persons). We will contact you if the Museum is unable to accommodate your visit.
Docent-Led Tours (one-hour)
Do you have a group or class that would like to have its own personalized tour? We can make it happen! Visit the Ashley Gibson Barnett Museum of Art and be guided through our galleries with one of our Museum-trained docent tour guides. A minimum of ten people is required to book a private tour, and all group visits must be requested at least two weeks in advance. Groups of sixty or more will be asked to split their group over two different tour hours. For student groups grades 1-12, one chaperone is required per ten students. Groups of twenty-five or more may require two or more docents. Tours are typically one hour.
Docent-led tours focus on engaging visitors with art and on fostering conversations about art. Our docents are trained to work with groups of all ages and interests to hone appreciation for the arts, to encourage critical thinking, and to bring to vivid life our current exhibitions.
Tours during the school year must be scheduled between 11:30 a.m. - 4 p.m
Schedule a 60-minute personalized docent-led tour:
Self-guided (Free)
Groups of 10 - 25 ($60 flat fee)
Groups of 26 - 50 ($120 flat fee)
