This program introduces participants to one of the Museum’s exhibitions in a fun and interactive way. ArtLabs are led by professional artists and/or art educators who will engage participants of all ages and skills in their own unique experience relating to an exhibition on display in the Museum.

Join artist Alex Lanier for a relaxed introduction to traditional inking for comics, illustration, and animation. Participants will learn the basics of line weight, shading, and value planning while practicing clean, confident lines with pen and ink.
About:
Alex Lanier is an award winning and published artist, specializing in traditional and digital inking, with a background in Architecture from FIU, School of Architecture after attending Lakeland's own Harrison School of The Arts. He is best known for his surreal travel inspired detailed line work and signature snakelike tubes that represent the journey. He has worked for several major studios creating illustrations, concept art, storyboards, event/set design, amusement park and attraction design and architecture illustrations. Some of Alex's past clients include: Mattel, Airbnb, Fox Sports, NBC Universal, NFL Network, to name a few. You can also find him displaying his art at some of the world’s largest and well respected art festivals and galleries.
