This solo exhibition showcases the extraordinary vision of contemporary, multi-disciplinary artist Andrea Dezsö (b. 1968). Born in Transylvania, Romania during the communist era where travel and outside information were strictly limited, a young Dezsö relied heavily on her own imagination as an escape by depicting parallel universes and alternate realities in her artwork. What was once a creative outlet continues to fuel her artistic practice today. Incorporating a broad range of media (drawing, paper cutting, embroidery, sculpture, printmaking, and installation) with meticulous craftsmanship, Dezsö invites viewers to explore alternate realities where the boundaries between the real and the imagined are blurred.
