Student Collection

The Ashley Gibson Barnett Museum of Art hosts several exhibitions per year in the George Jenkins Gallery that feature artwork by Polk County School District students. From each of these exhibitions, one piece is purchased by the Museum to become a permanent part of the Museum’s Student Collection.

Works in the Student Collection are exhibited on a rotating basis within the Museum’s galleries and are also loaned for display throughout Polk County at venues such as the Courthouse, Polk County School Board Offices, Tax Collector’s Offices, the Florida Children’s Museum, and Harrison School for the Arts, among others. The AGB’s collection of student artwork currently consists of over 300 works.
