Photography: Creative Composition and Editing (Evening)

This 6-week adult photography class is designed for photographers of all skill levels—from beginner to advanced—who want to sharpen their eye, enhance their editing skills, and take their images to the next level. Through hands-on exercises, guided photo walks, and inspiring lessons, students will explore the art of photographic composition and editing - discovering how to create more powerful, intentional, and visually compelling images.
Whether you're using a DSLR, mirrorless camera, or smartphone, this course will give you the tools and creative confidence to see the world with a photographer’s eye and make images that stand out. Photoshop and Lightroom techniques will be taught.
Supplies:
Participants will be responsible for providing their own digital camera device, laptop, and software.

Rick Runion is an award-winning photojournalist and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Ohio University. His photographs have appeared in newspapers and magazines across the country. After a full-time career as a photojournalist, Rick became an art teacher at Rochelle School of the Arts where he taught for eight years. He has been an Art Instructor at the Polk Museum of Art for over 15 years, teaching both adult classes, Spring Break Art Camp and Summer Camp for students. Runion has also been an adjunct photography professor for Southeastern University in Lakeland. Today, Runion works in public relations for the Polk County Schools.

Any registrations submitted after the registration deadline includes a $35 late fee.
REFUNDS
All refund requests must be submitted in writing and will incur a $35 handling fee. If a class or workshop is cancelled due to low enrollment, a full refund will be available. If a class or workshop is not cancelled and refund is requested, a reimbursement will be made in full up to seven days prior to the class or workshop starting date. No reimbursement will be made after the seven-day period.
