Fee: $200 Members, $260 Non-Members

Whether you are a beginner, or have experience with pottery, this class offers a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow as an artist through the clay. This class is designed for you to connect to the clay and learn to express yourself through the art of pottery. Students will create 2-3 different projects and experiment with different clay techniques, such as pinching, slab building, coiling, and surface design as well as introductory glazing techniques.

Diana Harrison is an artist, designer, and potter. Diana is a proud Dreadnaught from Lakeland High School who attended Polk Community College before heading to Florida State University to study Interior Design and Art History. After earning her degree, she worked for over 20 years in the furniture industry merchandising multiple showrooms. She took her first class at the Museum where she immediately felt connected to clay and fell in love with creating ceramic art. (Texture has always been one of her favorite elements in interiors and ceramics.) Today, years later, Diana enjoys teaching ceramics at Marvelous Mud Pottery Studio and at the Museum. She is also the Co-Host of The Pottery Student podcast with Rachelle Eason.

Any registrations submitted after the registration deadline includes a $35 late fee.

REFUNDS

All refund requests must be submitted in writing and will incur a $35 handling fee. If a class or workshop is cancelled due to low enrollment, a full refund will be available. If a class or workshop is not cancelled and refund is requested, a reimbursement will be made in full up to seven days prior to the class or workshop starting date. No reimbursement will be made after the seven-day period.
