VIRTUAL ARTLAB

Each month, participants will be introduced to one of the Museum’s exhibitions in a fun and interactive way through Zoom. ArtLabs are led by professional artists and art educators who will engage participants of all ages and skills in the creation of their own piece of artwork. Each virtual ArtLab will include a private Zoom invitation as well as a supply list to gather prior to the lab.
VIRTUAL LABS: These labs will take place in a virtual classroom accessed from the comfort of your own home through Zoom. Students will enjoy an online learning environment with the instructor and their fellow classmates for live engagement, interaction, and access to additional resources. Links to download the Zoom program and to attend class meetings will be provided to each student for easy access.

ArtLab with Gabriela Gonzalez Dellosso

Join artist Gabriela Gonzalez Dellosso as she covers historical female artists included in her homage paintings and the role those artists had within art history. Gabriela will give a 30-minute lecture about the artists' lives and art, with examples, followed by a hands-on interactive experience.
During the interactive experience, participants will learn how to draw a still-life based on Master paintings as Gabriela demonstrates the use of medium, tools, and technique. Students may draw in black-and-white as demonstrated or in color with the medium of their choice.
Basic Supplies Needed for Lab:
2 - HB General’s Charcoal Pencils with sharp points
White pastel pencil or pastel stick of any brand - with sharp points
Kneaded eraser
Blending stump
Pastel paper (or paper with tooth) in any shade of gray
Canson Mi-Tientes brand is suggested, but not required.
Optional Tools:
Staedtler Mars rasor eraser pencil
Pink pastel stick
Pencil sharpener
Supplies can be found at your local art and craft supply stores.
