Join us for a special reception Wednesday, January 14 at 6 pm in celebration of our current exhibition, Imaginations: The Adventures of “boxboy Jr.” and the Art of Alex Lanier. The evening will include an in-depth conversation with the artist and a reception to follow.
Alex Lanier
Based in Miami, Lanier began creating at an early age—drawing with ink pens found in junk drawers around the house and transforming discarded cardboard boxes into castles and spaceships that transported him to imaginary worlds. What began as a childhood pastime soon evolved into a lifelong passion for visual storytelling.
With a background in architecture, digital art, and concept design, Lanier combines a technical precision in draftsmanship with the whimsical narrative of children’s illustration to create a style that is distinctly his own.
