Point of View Gallery Talk: Olga Chao

Join us for Point of View Gallery talks every second Friday of the month at noon. 

December's POV Gallery Talk will be with Olga Chao. Chao will discuss Humberto Castro's "Tracing Antilles."

Chao is an appraiser of fine arts, a member of the International Society of Appraisers and is ISA RWS and USPAP compliant. She has curated recent juried art shows for Florida artists under the auspices of The Art Project. She has directed galleries in Michigan and New Jersey and been a participating dealer in international art shows in New York City, Basel and Dallas. She is the author of "On Looking: Conversations and Reflections on Cuban Art." Chao has over 20 years of experience in galleries, museum boards and committees and as a consultant to galleries, private collections and artists. Chao is a specialist in 20th Century American and European art, Cuban and Cuban-American Art and Latin American Art.

Olga lives in Lakeland with her husband Raul Chao, a writer. They both enjoy the Polk Museum of Art greatly.
