Creative Writing - You Can Write a Book! (Daytime)

Ever dream of writing a book or novel? Then, this is the workshop for you! Learn how to engage readers, structure plots, create settings, write dialogue, and bring characters to life on the page. All genres welcome: memoir, short story, fantasy, romance, young adult, murder mystery, etc. Classes will include expert instruction and fun in-class writing exercises. Previous students are encouraged to attend, but no creative writing experience is necessary. 

Students only need to bring a notebook and their favorite writing tool. 


Dr. Kathleen Nicklaus is an award-winning writer, poet, and professor with three decades of experience teaching literature and creative writing. Her work has appeared in newspapers, magazines, journals, and anthologies. She believes that learning should be challenging, fun, and meaningful.

Any registrations submitted after the registration deadline includes a $35 late fee.

REFUNDS

All refund requests must be submitted in writing and will incur a $35 handling fee. If a class or workshop is cancelled due to low enrollment, a full refund will be available. If a class or workshop is not cancelled and refund is requested, a reimbursement will be made in full up to seven days prior to the class or workshop starting date. No reimbursement will be made after the seven-day period.
